How Panchangs.co.in separates astronomy, Panchang calculations and traditional Jyotish rules.

Astronomical layer

Planetary positions, Moon longitude and Ascendant/houses are calculated server-side with the Swiss Ephemeris library in Lahiri / Chitra Paksha sidereal mode. The API self-tests against a fixed reference case and returns no chart when validation fails. Its response explicitly identifies whether Swiss data files, JPL data, or the Swiss library's Moshier analytical backend supplied the astronomical position.

Muhurat layer

Personalized Muhurat can apply natal Moon, Nakshatra, Tara Bala, Chandra Bala, Lagna and event-specific rule sets.
